Spaghetti Sauce

I don't think I've made spaghetti sauce the same way twice, lol. I started adding tomato sauce or some sort of canned tomatoes to jarred spaghetti sauce to stretch it. Now, I like the stretched sauce better than straight out of the jar.

Today I had some diced tomatoes and tomato paste to add to my sauce. I didn't have any crushed tomatoes on hand and I'm not keen on diced tomatoes in my sauce, so I decided to crush them myself. Just a whirl in the food processor.

Next I added the tomato paste and a few spices. I never measure anything, but just guess. Today I added about 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning, 2 tablespoons of minced onions, 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder.

I then added my jar of spaghetti sauce. I whisked it all together. It made enough for two meals and enough for my dinner. I put two containers in the freezer for next time. When I need it next, I will defrost and let simmer in a crock pot for a couple of hours.

I wonder how I will make it next time?
