Taco Ring

I make about three versions of this recipe.  It's easy and it freezes well.

Taco Ring

2 cans refrigerator crescent rolls
1 pound ground beef or turkey
Minced onion and garlic to taste
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
Shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef, onion, garlic, and the seasoning packet.  Drain.  Arrange crescent rolls into greased pie plate as pictured above.  Spoon beef mixture over the inside of crescent rolls.  Top with cheese.

Cover meat and cheese with the "tails" of the crescent rolls.  Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

At this point, I cut it into 6 slices, put in sandwich baggies and in the freezer, to be defrosted and heated up for an easy after-work dinner.

If you want to serve this on the same day you prepare it, put shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream and diced tomatoes in the middle of the ring.  Enjoy!
